Purple Wedding Decorating Ideas
One theme you can use is a colour!
My bridesmaids were purple so along with my fairytale theme, I tried to include some purple in the day.
You can use purple as the base of your theme and get more specific if you like for example, peacock feathers, lavender.
Colors that go with purple as a compliment (so as not to look to “matchy matchy”)
- green (think peacock feather green)
- brown (a rich deep brown)
- black (Hollywood style)
- other shades of purple – be careful not to look too girly, we want elegant not sweet 16
- white & cream
- plum colours and deep reds
Purple Centerpieces for Weddings:(picture care of www.confetti.co.uk)

- Purple grapes hanging out of fruit bowls
- Purple candles and or candle holders
- Purple flowers
- Purple freesias in particular and white freesias
- Lavender and baby’s breath

Other Wedding Table Decorations:
- Small bottles of wine at each table setting
- Purple Ribbon as napkin holders and place card accents
- Purple Cocktails

Hi, I was wondering where the idea or picture of the purple centerpiece came from. A friend of mine wants to do something similar at her wedding but we were wondering where the large glasses came from and what exactly the silver balls were made of (if they were hollow or hole). Thanks so much for the help!
Hi Heather,
The Large glasses can be purchased from many thrift or dollar stores. You can also find them in craft suppliers or many function/event coordinators or your florist will be able to hire them to you. The silver balls are simply white polystyrene balls spray painted (again can be purchased from craft supply stores) or you could also use small Christmas baubles for them. Hope this helps! Good luck! Let me know any more questions.
